The services S.W.A.P. Ltd provides:
Since 2005 a range of services have been provided to Local Authorities, the Courts, children and their families and individual service users. These services have included the provision of assessment and report writing along with other Services including: Parenting Assessments, Risk Assessments, Viability Assessments and Supervised Contact services.
We have provided a report writing service to the courts both the Magistrates [Family Proceedings] and County Courts. The reports provided have included assessment reports on Risk including s.37 [Children Act 1989] Investigation reports, reports on the welfare of children – Welfare reports (s.7) s.8 [Children Act 1989], Parenting Assessments under s.38(6) [Children Act 1989] and other reports under s.38(6) including reports on Supervised Contact, focussing on issues like Attachment and we have provided direct services including Supervised Contact, Anger Management Counselling and Transport services for its clients. S.W.A.P. Ltd has also provided expert evidence both in writing and in oral evidence to the courts.
‘SWAP Foster Care’ is a subsidiary company of SWAP Ltd and aims to provide a Fostering Service in accordance with the Fostering Services Regulations  and any subsequent amendments or, other statutory Acts and Guidance; it seeks to ensure that through the collective experience of its staff, Foster Carers it assesses and continuous professional development of these resources, children’s placement needs can be met in a way that is safe and promotes the ‘Every Child Matters’ agenda.
SWAP Foster Care does not currently provide any therapeutic or educational services directly but will seek to work in partnership with local health and educational providers to ensure children and young people’s health and educational needs are met. SWAP Foster Care will ensure that where children who are of compulsory school age are not yet in education that they receive structured occupation during the School day until they have an established educational provision in place.
Providing you have no serious criminal convictions that would automatically rule you out, are reasonably healthy, have one or more spare rooms to offer a Looked After Child and can care for children as if they were your own – you could be our next Foster Carer.
